Welcome to my website, Latam Sin Filtro. My name is Emilie, I am French and 24 years old. I am passionate about Latin America. Let me tell you a little bit about my academic background:
I have a bachelor's degree in English and Spanish and a trilingual master's degree (French, English, Spanish) in international business. From 2019 to 2024, I studied various aspects of Latin America: its role in international trade, regional integration organizations, the political and economic situation of Latin American countries in the 21st century…
It was really only in 2022, when I had just started my master's degree, that I began to take an interest in Latin America, its history, and its culture outside of college. I had the opportunity to write an essay on “the new shift to the left in Latin America” and to present my work during a defense. I was so fascinated by the subject that after writing this first essay, I wanted to continue
researching and writing about socio-economic and political issues in the region.
I graduated in September 2024 and in 2025, I started my new job: I am a sales assistant in a French company that produces steel tubes for the aerospace, automotive, and defense industries, among others. I am in charge of many countries of the European market.
Finally, in March 2025, I decided to launch Latam Sin Filtro and share my knowledge on Latin America with you all. I hope you will enjoy it!

Latam Sin Filtro is a website providing information about Spanish-speaking America.
You will find news articles, studies, my “country data sheets,” and a glossary of concepts and historical events specific to Latin America aiming at helping you to get to know Latin American countries better and understand the current challenges facing the region.
Latam Sin Filtro aims to objectively disseminate information about Latin America. The figures come from official sources, such as government institutions or international organizations. My goal is not to express a political opinion or spread an ideology.
One of the key principles of Latam Sin Filtro is intellectual honesty. Social media and the media almost never offer information that is not tinged by political opinions. There is also a lot of misinformation.
Latam Sin Filtro articles are accessible to everyone. You don't need to have studied political science or economics to understand them, so no worries!
Technical and complex terms used in the articles are always defined and explained in a simple and clear manner.
